THG Task Assignment Manager V1.0

THG Task Assignment Manager is an invaluable utility that allows you to assign processor affinity to currently open applications and, more importantly, create profiles that will automatically set processor affinities for you in the future. Note that you must have this program running for the affinity to be set. This application is an absolute must for anyone with dual-core or quad-core systems, especially those who enjoy games that suffer without a proper affinity setting.

RegASSASSIN V1.03

RegASSASSIN helps remove stubborn registry keys by automatically resetting the key's permissions and then deleting it.

Writes settings to: Windows registry. On first run, it asks you to accept the license and writes a flag in the registry. I am assuming you are not going to run this on a daily basis, but only during rare moments, so I am accepting it as portable.

How to extract: Download the ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice. Launch RegASSASSIN.exe.

TCPView V2.53

TCPView gives a detailed listing of all TCP and UDP endpoints on your system, including the local and remote addresses and state of TCP connections. On Windows NT, 2000 and XP TCPView also reports the name of the process that owns the endpoint. TCPView provides a more informative and conveniently presented subset of the Netstat program that ships with Windows.

Autoruns V9.02

Autoruns shows you which programs are configured to run during system bootup or login, and shows you the entries in the order Windows processes them. These programs include ones in your startup folder, Run, RunOnce, and other Registry keys. You can configure Autoruns to show other locations, including Explorer shell extensions, toolbars, browser helper objects, Winlogon notifications, auto-start services, and much more. Autoruns goes way beyond the MSConfig utility bundled with Windows Me and XP.

Xpadder V2008.1

Xpadder assigns keystrokes to your gamepad, giving you the ability to use your gamepad with any application you want (including older games with poor or no gamepad support such as DOS games). It also supports multiple gamepads, so playing multiplayer games with individual gamepads is a breeze. Combine this program's powerful features with its intuitive design and the result is an application that no one owning a gamepad should be without.

Writes settings to: Application folder, though some editing of the .ini file is necessary for complete portability.

How to extract: Download the zip package and extract to a folder of your choice. Launch the program by double-clicking XPadder.exe. Run the application and close it, then edit the Xpadder.ini file located in the application's folder and replace all paths with relative equivalents. This will also be necessary if new controllers are added, as recent controllers and multiple controllers will be saved with absolute paths. Hopefully in a future version relative paths can be an optional default.

Path portability: Requires manual entry of relative path (eg. ..\..\personal\work.doc)

In addition, CurrPorts allows you to close unwanted TCP connections, kill the process that opened the ports, and save the TCP/UDP ports information to HTML file , XML file, or to tab-delimited text file.
