iShout is a music player to listen to shoutcast streams and record your favorite internet radios.

This software is currently under development.

iShout proudly uses MPlayer to read internet streams and its recording capabilities are provided by StreamRipper.
The application's icon has been created by Everaldo, foood and tackat as part of the Crystal Clear project.

• Using mplayer (instead of mpg123) makes it possible to listen to low bitrate streams. It makes the software huge (~7MB) but this is temporary as it will use Quicktime one day.
• Recording and playing will now stop even when you force quit the application.
• Checking for update feature added for those who want to closely follow the software developement.

Getting Skype to work from your USB Drive



Getting Skype to work from your USB Drive can be a life-saver when you're on the road or on a vacation.
It's also good if you want to show it to a friend, or want to use a version that's seperate than the one installed.

The trick is quick simple, and depend on two paramebers which aren't very well documented

This only works with Skype 1.4 and above, and only on Windows (well I'm guessing this because I can't test the mac version)

• Download Skype and install it on any computer.
• Find the Skype.exe from where it was installed.
  (Usually C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe )
• Copy the Skype.exe file to any directory on your USB Drive
• In that new directory create a directory called "data"
• Now create a file (with notepad) called "skype.bat"
• Edit the "skype.bat" file and place the following line there:
  skype.exe /datapath:"Data" /removable

You're set.

Just clicking on that batch file will make skype start, it'll be different version that any skype installed on the computer you're at, and will even run if skype isn't installed on that computer.
